Can AI search tools and crawlers read your small-business website?

They can when four things hold: robots.txt lets their crawlers in, the page text is in the HTML your server sends, the page has a title, a description and a main heading, and structured data states your business facts. All four can be read from your page source. The free check on this page reads the source you paste and reports each one with the evidence it found.

Paste the source of your home page, your robots.txt and your sitemap. A script on this page checks them and shows a readiness score and the first three items of a prioritised fix list, free. A licence key ($149) unlocks the full fix pack: the complete fix list and the files to install, built on the spot from what you pasted.

Who it is for

Owners of small-business sites (a plumber, a dental practice, a restaurant, a local shop, a small agency) who want to know whether AI assistants and search crawlers can read their home page, and who want the fixes as ready-made files rather than as advice. You, or whoever maintains the site, need to be able to view the page source, edit the page head, upload a file to the site root and change the title and description. The pack does not install anything for you.

The script reads one page: the home page source you paste, plus your robots.txt and your sitemap. Problems that sit in the site-wide template usually show on the home page too, but other pages are not read.

Run the free check

The free check needs no licence key and no account. See the sample from a demo site for what the result and the files look like.

This generator needs JavaScript. With JavaScript turned off the free check does not run, no buy button is shown and nothing can be bought from this page.

1. Your site

Used only as text inside the generated files. The script does not open it.

Open your home page, press Ctrl+U (or choose "View page source"), select all, copy and paste here. Paste the source, not the rendered DOM shown by developer tools.

Paste only the source of a site you own or are authorised to modify. The files this page generates are meant to be installed on that site only.

Open your site address followed by /robots.txt and paste what you see. Leave this empty only if your site has no robots.txt: the script reads an empty field as "the site has none".

Open your site address followed by /sitemap.xml, view its source and paste it. Leave this empty only if your site has no sitemap: the script reads an empty field as "the site has none".

2. Your business

These details are written into the files exactly as you type them. Leave a field empty if it does not apply; it is then left out of the files.

One line per group of days, written like: Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00

3. Run the free check

The box under the home page source must be ticked: the check runs only for a site you own or are authorised to modify.

Exactly what the licence key unlocks

FileWhat it is
FIX-LIST.mdThe full prioritised fix list (P1 high, P2 medium, P3 low). Every item quotes the evidence found in the text you pasted, then the step to fix it and the files in the pack that go with it. It ends with the checks that passed and the things the script does not check.
llms.txtA Markdown index drafted from your page heading or title, its meta description and the addresses in your sitemap, with the phone and address you typed. Ready to upload to the site root.
robots-additions.txtLines to append to your robots.txt: one group for each of six AI and search crawlers that has no group of its own, repeating your existing path rules.
schema/organization.jsonldJSON-LD structured data built from the business details you typed, with a schema.org type that matches the category you chose.
schema/faqpage.jsonldOnly when the pasted page holds questions and answers and has no FAQPage data: the questions and answers copied from the page.
meta-heading-fixes.csvOne row each for the title, meta description, H1, heading outline and canonical tag: the current value, its length and a proposed fix.
README.mdWhat each file is, where it goes and how to install it, plus the business details that were written into the files.
fix-pack.zipAll of the above in one download.

The business name, phone, address and opening hours in the files are the ones you type, written as typed. Titles, descriptions, questions and answers are copied from the page you paste. Where a detail is missing, the field is left out rather than guessed.

Each guide answers one question and can be followed without the tool or a licence key.

Price, delivery and refund

$149

One payment for one licence key. Not a subscription.

  1. Run the free check above. It shows your score and the first three items of the fix list.
  2. Buy the licence key on Gumroad. The key is shown on the product's content page on Gumroad right after payment.
  3. Enter the key in step 4 on this page. The script generates the files in your browser and you download them here.

The buy button appears here only after this page has passed its start-up self-test in your browser. If it does not appear, nothing can be bought from this page.

Delivery: instant, in your browser. The files are generated by a script on this page as soon as the licence key is accepted, and you download them from this page. Refund policy: full refund on request within 7 days of purchase. No reason is needed. The refund covers the case where the key does not unlock the pack and the case where the pack cannot be produced for your site. Refunds are made through Gumroad to the original payment method.
